武汉市蔡甸区的缘由

margin-bottom: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">武汉蔡甸位于江汉平原东部末端，南有浩瀚长江滚滚东去，北有千里汉水逶迤而来；它正处于两江交汇的三角地带，是武汉市的西大门。<br style="box-sizing: border-box;"/></p><p style="white-space: normal; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;"/></p><p style="white-space: normal; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">据史书记载，魏、晋时期，在汉江下游南岸的临嶂山下就建有临嶂城。从临嶂古城往汉江上游走两公里就是蔡甸。“蔡甸”这个名字最早为“蔡店”二字，开始出现在南宋德祐元年（1275年）。据传是因为有一姓蔡的人家，在汉江边渡口处开设一小店而得名。<br style="box-sizing: border-box;"/></p><p style="white-space: normal; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;"/></p><p style="white-space: normal; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">相传南宋年间，在汉江入长江口上游约六十里水路处，有一个无名渡口，住着一户姓蔡的夫妇。他们在汉江南岸搭建了几间茅草屋，用门板摆了个货摊子，卖些香烟和瓜子、花生、芝麻饼子之类的小零食。还天天烧一锅开水，泡一缸花红叶子茶，供汉江边停靠的船客和过渡行人解渴充饥。若有远道而来的行商借宿，他们也设法安排，让客人有吃有住，热情地迎来送往。他们心地善良，生意也好，逐渐有了些积蓄，就将茅草屋改建成了砖瓦房，把小货摊子变换成了简易的客栈饭馆。他们在屋门口挂起了一块招牌，叫“蔡店”。<br style="box-sizing: border-box;"/></p></section><section style="box-sizing: border-box;" powered-by="xiumi.us"><p style="white-space: normal; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;"/></p><p style="white-space: normal; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">若干年后，这里汉江两岸筑起了堤坝，堤内大片水域消退成一个个湖泊，湖泊间陆地凸现出来。汉江边的“蔡店”也从堤外搬进了堤内，四乡八邻从事各个行当的业者也陆续会聚而来。堤内居住的人越来越多，逐渐形成了街道、集镇。明洪武十三年（1380年），这里的汉江边成了下游南岸的重要商埠码头和商品的集散地。清代朝廷派来了通判，设立了巡检司。这时，集镇上的人觉得“蔡店”这个名字太俗气了，曾经将蔡店的“店”改为“坫”。后来又觉得“店”“坫”的意思差不多，一个说的是小店子，一个说的土台子，都显得小里小气、土里土气。到了乾隆二十八年（1763年），汉阳县府认为这里离汉阳城很近，属城郭之郊。郊外应该称“甸”，故将蔡店的“店”改为“甸”，其意是指蔡甸乃武汉的畿甸之区。从此，“蔡甸”这个名字便沿用至今。<br style="box-sizing: border-box;"/></p></section><section style="box-sizing: border-box;" powered-by="xiumi.us"><p style="white-space: normal; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;"/></p><p style="white-space: normal; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">蔡甸是汉江下游的一个古老集镇，与临嶂古城紧邻，跨越千年；而单独成镇，也有数百年的历史。后来在民国元年（1912年）曾一度设置为县佐公署，作为汉阳县行政公署的分署；还设立过独立的警察机构——省级的湖北省水上警察公署，署所就设在蔡甸镇河街。1949年5月17日，南下的中国人民解放军江汉军区独立第一旅进入蔡甸。从此，蔡甸全境解放，获得了新生。1950年8月，原汉阳县政府机关由汉阳城区显正街迁至蔡甸镇王家塘。蔡甸镇便成了汉阳县的政治、经济、文化中心，即县府城关镇。据《汉阳县志》载：1951年，汉阳县除汉阳城区划归武汉市外，所辖区域有十区一镇，即一区新农、二区柏林、三区合贤、四区侏儒、五区新滩口、六区大咀、七区黄陵、八区奓山、九区大集、十区新沟，一镇为蔡甸镇。全县总人口34万。1992年9月12日，经国务院批准撤销湖北省汉阳县，设立武汉市蔡甸区。因武汉市已设有汉阳区，就将蔡甸镇的镇名作为区名。现蔡甸镇称之为蔡甸街道。<br style="box-sizing: border-box;"/></p><p style="white-space: normal; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">蔡甸区的前身为汉阳县，古称晴川楚北大邑。商末周初，先隶南国，后属郧国。春秋战国时期，隶属楚国。秦统一中原时，属南郡。西汉时，北部属安陆县，南部滨长江一带属沙羡县。东汉初置沌阳县；三国时置石阳县；晋初改石阳为曲阳，后仍置沌阳县。怀帝永嘉元年（公元307年），沌阳县迁至临嶂山下筑城，晋大将陶侃在此屯兵据守。隋开皇十七年（公元597年），沌阳县改名为汉津县。隋炀帝大业二年（公元606年），因汉津县位于汉水北岸，依“水北为阳”，故改名为汉阳县，此名沿用至上世纪九十年代。1992年，汉阳县撤销，更名为武汉市蔡甸区。</p></section></section></section></section><section style="box-sizing: border-box;" powered-by="xiumi.us"><p style="white-space: normal;
